Yummy Yummy Marshmallow Chair in a Living Room Scene
I was intrigued by the concept that design should work for the consumer that was said in the later half of the documentary assigned for this week. This quote made me think "What if the object intentionally doesn't work for the consumer?" My chair was not designed with comfort in mind, it was supposed to be uncomfortable to sit in, but once I progressed through it while learning Tinkercad it started to look more like a marshmallow to me so then I began to envision the chair being made with a hard fiberglass shell on the outside and the the most comfortable memory foam material on the inside. This chair design was inspired by the organic flowing shape of Marc Newson's "Orgone" red chair from the documentary. Initially I was frustrated with Tinkercad and struggling to figure it out but once I got the hang of it I felt confident enough to put together a living room to complete my Yummy Yummy Marshmallow Chair.
